Australia’s finest Surf Lifesavers will represent their State and showcase their lifesaving skills in an elite lifesaving sports competition. Contested on the beach and in the ocean, Interstates sees the best of the best battle it out in ironman and ironwoman racing, board races, ski races, taplin relays, rescue events, beach flags and beach sprints.

The 2017 Surf Life Saving Australia Interstate Championships will be held on Friday 20 January at Alexandra Headlands, Queensland. The 2018 Lifesaving World Championships are returning to Adelaide from November 17 – December 2, 2018. Over 5000 athletes from 40 countries will compete in a range of events that are held in the pool, on the sand and in the ocean.
