All powercraft volunteers must hold a South Australian driver’s licence (or interstate Australian equivalent), must be proficient and hold the relevant surf lifesaving award. International volunteers will be required to undergo testing before being allowed to perform any service for Lifesaving World Championships 2018.

First aid volunteers must be a current member of a surf lifesaving club, hold their Bronze Medallion (and/or Provide First Aid), and be willing to attend group training sessions prior to the even to foster team dynamics and enhance knowledge.
